Thanks for the flask! I will be sure to fill it with a top shelf whiskey, the only thing that's going to keep me warm on the many lonely nights that I am bound to have along the 2,745 miles of the Great Divide Route. Can't imagine a better gift.
Hey, your name shows up now.... I'm glad you liked the gift. The way I see it, best case senario, you get a great nights sleep and some time to laugh to yourself for a few hours in your tent, just you and the flask OR... you get piss ass drunk pass out and if a bear comes up, you wont have to play dead because the bear will think you are already dead, passed out. I read some history about the Titanic. The Captain of the ship and a couple loyal crew members decided to stay on the ship and help as many as possible off the ship, when they knew impending doom was coming, the doctor on the ship advised the Captain and the few that stayed to help to find their way to the bar and drink as much liquore as possible as a means of making themselves pass out so they would not feel the pain or fear of drowning. I guess last resort, you could always just start pounding away before the grizzly tears your tent to shreds...(laughing)
Whiskey time!!! Don't leave home without it.
